If you're an oil industry professional, this is a website about the applications of cartography and modern GIS for the seismic interpreter. I'll look at how it affects your SEGY loading, well placement and how to homogenise disparate coordinate systems. Interpreters generally see GIS as something peripheral to our job but it's no use working off a wrongly loaded project. There's material out there that covers the theoretical aspects of GIS and cartography at a greater depth than I ever could, but I couldn't find anything specifically tailored to seismic interpreters and data loaders.
